The movie reviews have started to pour in and it looks like a mixed reaction. We will have to wait for a little while to know how it’s faring at the box office. However, here we list out three great product management lessons that Ranbir Kapoor a.k.a Jagga Jasoos taught us during the making of his latest flick.

He takes bold decisions – News were doing the rounds few days back that the team had omitted ace movie star Govinda’s part from the movie. The Kapoor scion however took a bold stance and stated that he understands that it is unfortunate to happen with star like Govinda and admitted that it was his and the co-director’s fault. Similar situation often arise in an organization where product managers need to take bold decisions even if that includes saying a NO to a senior team member or somebody from the management for the sake of the product.

He can multitask like a pro – Ranbir had been shooting for two other films simultaneously (Bombay Velvet and Tamasha) along with Jagga Jasoos. Needless to say the effort that goes in to these multi-crore projects. Such efforts do result in the success and achievement that he has been able to achieve. An ideal product manager should be as efficient as Ranbir in managing high worth projects that require a lot of dedication.

He is responsible to the core – Amid speculations of the movie not making it big at the box office, Ranbir said that he would compensate all distributors shall the movie not rake in the moolah that it is expected to. A product manager too needs to be fiercely responsible like this man and own the entire process to win the confidence of his co-workers and ensure smooth delivery.
