Industry collaboration to tap opportunities
Last year, Manipal ProLearn had partnered with the credit rating giant Equifax to formulate a highly industry-oriented ‘train and deploy’ model for its students.
Sectors like BFSI Analytics largely rely on data science for business innovation. Therefore, training the students to meet industry specific requirements by involving industry experts from Equifax offered a unique opportunity for ProLearn Data Science students.
A right mix of skills and opportunities
Equifax has been playing a pivotal role in drafting and updating data science curriculum, training as well as hiring data science students from the ProLearn PG diploma batch.
The partnership attends to the most crucial aspects of training data science students to adequately equip them for the upcoming opportunities in BFSI analytics sector. This is because the collaboration involves Equifax curating the curriculum for our data science program, thereby adding plenty of industry-relevant curriculum topics in the course.
Returning for the win again
From last year’s placement rounds, Equifax hired 4 data science students to strengthen its data analytics team. Needless to say, they were delighted with the technical skills that the students possessed along with their professional effectiveness from day one!
These factors were the reason Equifax wanted to return for this season’s placement rounds as well. And as expected, they haven’t been disappointed this time as well. Equifax has recruited 2 students to fulfil its talent needs.
The two students recruited by Equifax are Kabilarasan J and Barun Kumar. We congratulate them for their career defining achievement.
Previously, Barun held the position of a technical lead in Cognizant and was even awarded an appreciation award in 2017 for his performance. His decision to give his career a boost and tap his potential to the fullest by joining Prolearn was paid off with an offer from Equifax.
Kabilaran had finished his B.E in Manufacturing in 2018 and made a well thought move to pursue data science to begin his career in this highly in-demand field.
A job offer from Equifax is a career defining moment for both the students and is certainly a spike in their career graph.
Having closely observed the students from the beginning of their course, the company has been able to recruit the best talent and in return offer unmatched career opportunities to Manipal ProLearn students.
