Manipal ProLearn is proud to announce that Mr. David Fradin, world-renowned Product Management and Product Marketing Consultant, Coach and Course Author has joined our Academy as an Advisor and Professor of Practice, Product Management Programs.
Known as the ‘Guru’ of product management, David has close to five decades of experience in the industry. He has been associated with some of the leading companies across the world, including Apple and HP.
David has handled more than 75 products and services (representing over $250M in revenue) over a span of 47 years. He uses his expertise in the subject to train managers all over the globe. He shares the tricks of the trade in his workshops and educates managers with the insights he has gained as an expert product leader. His workshops widely focus on product life cycle as well as management. He also shares insights on how and what helped Apple evolve into one of the biggest companies in the world.
Work experience and achievements
David was a Product Manager at HP, before joining Apple. At Apple, he was responsible for launching the first ever hard disk drive (for PCs) in the market. His exceptional management and leadership skills quickly got him promoted to the Group Product Manager. And there was no turning back after that! He went on to represent the tech giant as the Business Unit Manager (the same organizational level as Steve Jobs, at that time).
When not envisioning products or conducting workshops, David is usually found spending his time authoring online books and courses. He also organizes in-person boot camps, which are based on his book named, “Building Insanely Great Products”.
David Fradin is also the founder of the University of Michigan Flyers, which is a flying club and is responsible for training over 4000 pilots. He is also the man behind the Federation of Americans Supporting Science and Technology (FASST), with 40 campuses and more than 15,000 student members.
David is also one of the first environmental mediators of the world, adding another feather to his cap. One of the White House Fellows finalist, he has played a prominent role in pioneering the concept of total resource jobs. He has also worked with Hewlett-Packard where he looked after the company’s new facility sittings along with PR for David Packard, COB and Co-founder of HP.
Manipal ProLearn is delighted to have David Fradin as the Advisor to the Academy. MGAIT hopes to achieve great feats under the guidance of David Fradin.
